I have been asked why a new Evolution it’s the same as your last boat.

Why not a Cat with Mariners charging 50% extra for Cats and me working two ports running costs would be crazy. It’s a hard living at the best of times without added debt.

When sharking the max that you want onboard and fishing is 5 persons if you are told that other boats take more stay clear. So with 5 persons fishing the Evo has masses of space and less running cost over the season for me.

My last boat was good but there were changes that needed to be made for it to be better for Anglers and Sharking.

The Improvements were Big and minor.

I will start with big first the cabin was totally re thought by myself regarding seating and comfort. The new Evo will seat up to 8 in the wheelhouse the old boat would seat 5 max.

The next big job was to put a tuna door in the boat. Most boats have the doors on the stern I decided against this for a sharking boat.

With dealing with big sharks and wire traces these fish like going under the boat and on the stern you have trim tabs, propshafts, rudder, skegs, all that could snag shark and wire trace etc. We have put the door on the side of the boat for two reasons first no snags second better for anglers boarding and exiting the boat with there fishing tackle.

I have opted for a bigger Caterpillar engine on the new boat a C9 510hp rather than the old Cat 420hp.
With the few mods to boat we hope to get a better cruising speed.

The minor mods are demister system that’s been made like a car on all windows hopefully stop steaming up with all bodies in wheelhouse.

Front hatch type window for hot days and bad foggy days.

The latest Raymarine Electronics with 3D charting HD fishfinders autopilot etc and life tag system for all anglers on boat I thank Raymarine for joining the White Water team.

The new electronics supplied by Raymarine will make use of the electronic C9 engine monitors.

The new boat will have 3 hull colour scheme that gives the boat sporty look.

The old Evo was good in all weathers that’s why I have gone for another lets face it if I cant get out sharking due to weather in Evo you don’t want to be out in any boat.
