White Water Charters is a boat charter providing fishing trips out of Milford Haven Marina and Penarth Marina, where you can go fishing for Cod, Bass, Pollack, Plaice, Conger Eels, Rays, Smoothounds, Tope and Sharks, or enjoy wildlife trips off the coast of South and West Wales, more info about our boat charters.
Milford Marina is an ideal location from which to explore the coast of West Wales and venture out into the Irish Channel with its many wreck fishing marks and excellent shark fishing, more about Milford Boat Marina.
Want to catch the ultimate sea predator, then try Shark Fishing in the seas off Pembroke, West Wales, which has become a prominent Porbeagle and Blue Shark area. Milford Haven Port is becoming, if not already regarded as one of the best Shark venues in the UK at present. The Gulf Stream influence on the West Wales Coast have produced large sharks with many Blues over 170lb and Porgies over 150lb. Our boat record Blue Shark catch was 9 ft in length and 3,1/2 ft around the girth, caught by Ronnie Webb 25 miles out off Milford Haven.
Want to catch lots of big fish, then try Wreck Fishing off West Wales. Wreck fishing off West Wales can produce a good selection of quality fish; Pollack, Bass, Cod, Ling, Conger, and Coalfish being the usual target species, but other quality fish are regularly caught from around the wreck and not just over it, such as Gurnard, Tope and Bullhuss not being uncommon. Late May through until early November are the most productive of times of the year for offshore wrecking. In the winter months the reefs and inshore wrecks will provide Pollack, Whiting and Spurdogs.
Penarth Marina, built around the basins of the historic Penarth Docks is situated within the sheltered waters of Cardiff Bay Penarth Quays Marina is an ideal location from which to explore the Bristol Channel with its many fishing marks, more about Penarth Boat Marina. The Bristol Channel is renowned for its Cod Fishing, not to mention the excellent Conger, Bass, Rays, Smoothounds and Tope fishing. The Cod season tends to start at the end of August and runs right through to the middle of May, with the best time being October to January, then again in March and April which is generally known as the spring run of fish that feed up before they move off into the Irish sea for the summer.
Want to catch more fish in the Bristol Channel, then know what species of fish to target and when, bristol channel fishing seasons, or maybe try uptiding, or change your Bait. The Bristol Channel has a reputation for superb fishing in its fast flowing silty waters.
Want to catch Sea Bass, well South West Wales is without doubt the best place to fish for Sea Bass in the UK, if not in the whole of Europe. The best time for fishing Bass is from early Spring through unitl the late Autumn.
